Risk Disclosure
Blockchain, digital assets, tokenization and other emerging technologies can involve substantial risks. This page summarises key risks you should understand. It is not a complete list of every possible risk.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. Market and volatility risk
Digital assets and related products can be highly volatile. Prices can rise or fall sharply within short periods, and you may lose some or all of your money.
2. Liquidity risk
Some assets, tokens or tokenized interests may have limited trading markets. You may not be able to sell or exit a position quickly, at a fair price, or at all.
3. Technology and cybersecurity risk
Blockchain networks, smart contracts, wallets, applications and platforms may contain software bugs, design flaws or vulnerabilities and may be targeted by hacking, phishing, malware or other attacks. Network congestion, forks, outages or protocol changes can also affect access and value.
4. Self-custody and key-loss risk
If you hold your own assets, you are fully responsible for your private keys, seed phrases and devices. If they are lost, stolen or exposed, your assets may be permanently lost, and transactions generally cannot be reversed. See our Self-Custody Notice.
5. Regulatory and legal risk
Laws and regulations may change, be unclear or differ between countries. New rules, enforcement action or restrictions may affect the legality, value, availability or tax treatment of digital assets, tokenization and related services.
6. Tokenization and real-estate risk
Tokenized real-world assets, including real estate, depend on legal structures, ownership records, valuation, property-market conditions and the reliability of the parties involved. Token holders’ rights may be limited or uncertain and may vary by jurisdiction.
7. Counterparty and third-party risk
Exchanges, platforms, issuers, custodians and other third parties may fail, become insolvent, suspend withdrawals, act fraudulently or fail to meet their obligations.
8. Fraud and scam risk
The digital-asset sector attracts scams, including fake investment schemes, impersonation and phishing. Always verify who you are dealing with. See our Scam & Fraud Awareness page.
9. Emerging-technology risk
Technologies such as AI-enabled finance, quantum-secure systems and new settlement or payment models are still developing. Their performance, adoption, security and regulatory treatment are uncertain.
10. Your responsibility
Only commit funds you can afford to lose. Understand any product before you use it, and seek independent professional advice. Information from SNH Global Tech is for awareness and does not remove these risks.
